Auracast for Assistive Listening

Auracast For Assistive Listening．

Auracast^TM is the latest in Bluetooth Technology and is set to provide universal assistive listeneing accessibility in the years to come. It is a broadcast system for one to many and unlike traditional Bluetooth it does not require a 'handshake' reducing receiver power consumption, making it viable for inclusion in a hearing aid. Indeed, some hearing aid manufacturers are beginning to include Auracast^TM in their products although the roll out appears to be slow and limited to top end models.

Univox will be supporting this technology in the future but as the user base is still very limited and until NHS services begin to specify Auracast^TM in procurement contracts as well as or instead of T-coils, Univox will continue its commitment to delivering the best audio induction loop systems and services available.
